We gave a month; we were given sight. We gave a year; we were given a calling. We gave our lives; we were given everything. In January 2011, Sue and I volunteered in Africa at a vocational centre for young women, and it changed our lives. We were asked to go back and spend a year volunteering there, which we did full-time, in 2012. Since coming back to Toronto, Canada in July 2012, we have been hard at work getting our new project.
